米大統領選直後の11月９日から前日までの日経平均の上げ幅は2000円を超えていた。このため個人投資家の間では高値警戒感が強まった。

ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は続伸し、前日比129.03ポイント（0.98％）高の１万3311.39だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も続伸し、13.84ポイント（0.94％）高の1483.27だった。

後場は底堅い展開だった。日銀による株価指数連動型上場投資信託（ＥＴＦ）買いの思惑などが下支えした。前週末と比べ一時は１円50銭を超える円高・ドル安が進んだにも関わらず、前場の下げ幅も最大で150円程度と限定的だった。

東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）は12日続伸した。12日続伸は2015年５月15日から６月１日以来の長期続伸となる。終値は5.05ポイント（0.34％）高の1469.58だった。ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400も12日続伸し、終値は41.56ポイント（0.32％）高の１万3187.85だった。

東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆3546億円だった。売買高は21億8569万株だった。東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は534だった。一方で、値上がりは1343と全体の７割近くに上った。変わらずは107銘柄だった。
