３０日の日経平均株価は前週末比１３６円４７銭安の１万９７４７円４７銭と続落。現地１２月３日のＥＣＢ（欧州中央銀行）理事会や同４日の米雇用統計など重要イベントを控えて方向感が出づらいなか、前週末２７日に急落した中国・上海市場に対する警戒感が広がり、重しとなった。朝方から軟調に推移し、前場は同７６円５１銭安の１万９８０７円４３銭となった。昼休み時間帯に中国・上海総合指数が弱含み、株価指数先物に売りが出たことを受けて、後場に入ると下げ幅を拡大。午後零時３９分にはこの日の安値となる同１７６円２７銭安の１万９７０７円６７銭まで下落した。その後下げ渋るものの戻りも鈍い展開が続いた。

　東証１部の出来高は２４億６６９３万株。売買代金は２兆９０９０億円。騰落銘柄数は値上がり８９２銘柄、値下がり９１６銘柄、変わらず１１３銘柄。なお、日経平均株価をＴＯＰＩＸ（東証株価指数）で割ったＮＴ倍率は１２．４９倍となり、８月２４日の１２．５２倍以来の高水準となった。
