東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）は前日比0.25％高の1547.30で終え、年間では9.9％上昇した。ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は前日比0.18％高の１万3951.93で終えた。

日経平均は朝方に一時、１万9100円台に上昇した。このところ軟調だった鉄鋼などの資源関連株や電気機器株に買いが先行した。今月中旬に大幅に下げたため、値ごろ感に着目した買いが入ったとの指摘もあった。ただ、市場では「日銀が決めた量的・質的金融緩和の補完措置の解釈を巡る混乱など今月は波乱が多かった印象が強く、まだ買い意欲は乏しい」（ちばぎんアセットマネジメントの奥村義弘調査部長）との指摘もあった。株価指数先物に断続的な売りが出たこともあり、後場寄り直後には一時１万9000円ちょうどに迫る水準に伸び悩んだ。

東証１部の売買代金は概算で１兆6505億円、売買高は14億9001万株。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は全体の62％にあたる1207、値下がり銘柄数は597、変わらずは131だった。
