Sharp and Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industry is a large-sized liquid crystal panel manufacturing company "Sakai Display Products" (SDP, Sakai City) to co-operate 2015 the year ended December 31 financial statements of, it was found that was a surplus for the third consecutive year. According to the Official Gazette dated 24 days, 205.6 billion yen is a year-on-year decrease of 6 - 7% of sales, net income was 4.3 billion yen, down 40%. Sharp body struggled with shifted focus to small and medium-sized liquid crystal for smartphones, 16 years ended March 31, falling to the operating loss of the liquid crystal department of 300 billion yen at the prospect. The SDP for large TV is the center of the contrast while sales profits, to ensure a surplus.

シャープと台湾の鴻海精密工業が共同運営する大型液晶パネル製造会社「堺ディスプレイプロダクト」（ＳＤＰ、堺市）の２０１５年１２月期決算は、３年連続で黒字だったことが分かった。２４日付の官報によると、売上高が前期比６・７％減の２０５６億円、最終利益は４０％減の４３億円だった。シャープ本体はスマートフォン向けの中小型液晶に軸足を移して苦戦し、１６年３月期で液晶部門が３００億円の営業赤字に陥る見通し。これに対し大型テレビ向けが中心のＳＤＰは減収減益ながら、黒字を確保した。
