16日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は反発した。前日比54円19銭（0.33％）高の１万6466円40銭で終えた。朝方から外国為替市場で円安・ドル高に振れて輸出企業の採算悪化の懸念が和らいだ。政策期待も広がり買い戻しを誘った。東証１部の売買代金は２兆円に届かず低調だった。

14日付の日本経済新聞朝刊が「安倍晋三首相は13日、2017年４月に予定する消費税率10％への引き上げを再び延期する方針を固めた」と報じた。消費増税による景気悪化懸念は根強かっただけに、景気に配慮した政策への思惑が広がり売り方の買い戻しを誘った。今月末に主要国首脳会議（伊勢志摩サミット）を迎えて大胆な財政政策に期待する声も多い。

前週末の米株安を受けて朝方は売りが先行したものの、その後に円安・ドル高が進行して投資家心理が改善、前週末比200円超高まで上昇する場面があった。16日のニューヨーク原油先物市場が時間外取引で堅調に推移して支えとなった。

ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400も反発した。終値は前日比33.63ポイント（0.28％）高の１万1961.84だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も反発し、1.46ポイント（0.11％）高の1321.65で終えた。

東証１部の売買代金は概算で１兆9332億円だった。売買高は19億5208万株だった。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は742と全体の38％にとどまった。値下がりは1099、変わらずは109銘柄だった。

東証２部株価指数は続伸した。

16日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は小幅に続落した。終値は前週末比17円48銭（0.69％）安の2507円93銭だった。ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で837億円、売買高は１億3066万株だった。主力銘柄で構成するＪＡＳＤＡＱ―ＴＯＰ20は３日続落した。マザーズ上場のバイオ関連株が急落し、ジャスダック銘柄にも売りが優勢になった。

東証マザーズ指数が急反落した。終値は前週末比81.65ポイント（6.8％）安い1125.37と４月18日以来、約１カ月ぶりの安値を付けた。下落率は２月12日以来約３カ月ぶりの大きさとなった。
