前日までの３日続伸で上げ幅は約700円（５％）に達した。朝方は利益確定の売りに押されたものの、心理的節目となる１万6000円近辺で下げ渋った。短期筋が先物に買いを入れたことで、下値を支えた面もあった。「一部の資金は食品や通信など内需関連銘柄に向かった」（国内投信の運用担当者）との指摘もあった。

英国の国民投票を控え、売買の参加者は限られた。「海外の商品投資顧問（CTA）など短期筋の売買が中心だった」との指摘もあり、持ち高を一方向に傾ける投資家は乏しく小幅な値動きにつながった。

東証マザーズ指数は３営業日ぶりに反落した。終値は前日比26.93ポイント（2.71％）安い967.25だった。ブランジスタやそーせい、モブキャスが下落し、フリークアウやホープ、アキュセラが上昇した。

21日に東証マザーズ市場に新規上場したストライクは上場２日目のきょう、９時３分に公募・売り出し価格（公開価格、3440円）の2.3倍となる7770円で初値を付けた。終値は6720円だった。
