30日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は小幅に反落した。終値は前日比12円13銭（0.07％）安の１万6725円36銭だった。前日の400円近い大幅高の反動で、短期的な利益を確定するための売りが優勢になった。外国為替市場では円相場が１ドル＝102円台を付けるなど円売り基調にあり、29日の米国株高も支えになったため、株価の下げは限定的だった。取引時間中は小幅高に転じる場面もあった。

景気に業績が左右されにくいＮＴＴドコモやＫＤＤＩといった通信株が下落し、アサヒや味の素など食品株も下げた。マグロ漁獲規制の議論本格化が伝わりマルハニチロが下落した。ＪＲ東日本とＪＲ西日本、ＪＲ東海の下げも目立った。

半面、非鉄の三井金や住友鉱、鉄鋼の新日鉄住金といった素材株は続伸した。米アップルの説明会で新型スマートフォンが公開されるとの期待から部品を供給するアルプスや村田製、太陽誘電は上昇した。三井住友トラと第一生命の上げも目立った。

市場では米金融政策に影響を与える９月２日発表の８月の米雇用統計の内容を確認したいとの様子見ムードも広がった。円相場の一段の下落がなければ、日経平均が節目の１万7000円を上回るのは難しいとの見方もあった。

ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は小幅に続伸した。終値は前日比0.04ポイント（0.00％）高の１万1810.53だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）は反落し、0.43ポイント（0.03％）安の1312.81だった。東証１部の売買代金は概算で１兆6783億円、売買高は15億4953万株だった。東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は1029と全体の約52％を占めた。値上がりは778、変わらずは164銘柄だった。

東証２部株価指数は続伸した。シャープとＣ＆Ｒが上げ、朝日インテクとラオックスが下げた。

30日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は小幅に続伸した。終値は前日比43銭（0.02％）高い2461円85銭だった。米利上げの動向を占ううえで重要な８月の米雇用統計の発表を９月２日に控えて模様眺めムードが強かったが、材料の出た個別株を物色する流れが続いた。

ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で531億円と７月22日以来の水準に膨らんだ。売買高は１億2982万株だった。極楽湯やアスコット、北川精機が上昇した。半面、アドアーズやマクドナルド、シダックスは下落した。

東証マザーズ指数は小幅に続伸した。終値は前日比2.67ポイント（0.30％）高い899.56だった。そーせいやモバファク、オンコリスの値上がりが目立った。イーガーディやモブキャス、サイバダインは下げた。
