21日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は反落し、前日比50円91銭（0.30％）安の１万7184円59銭で終えた。前日まで５日続伸し、節目となる１万7000円を上回ったことで、短期的な目標達成感や過熱感が意識され、国内投資家などの利益確定売りに押された。

前日までの好地合いを引き継ぎ、朝方は買いが優勢だった。円相場が一時１ドル＝104円台に下落したことや、企業業績に対する過度な不安が和らいでいることが買い安心感につながった。ただ、買い一巡後は来週以降に本格化する主要企業の４～９月期決算を確認したいとの雰囲気から様子見姿勢が強まり、次第に売りが目立ち始めた。

14時すぎに鳥取県で震度６弱の地震が発生した。投資家の運用リスクを回避する動きが広がり、日経平均はやや下げ幅を拡大する場面があった。

日銀の黒田東彦総裁が21日午後の衆院財務金融委員会で、２％の物価安定目標の達成時期が後ずれする可能性を改めて示唆したが、株式相場の反応は限定的だった。

ＮＴＴなど通信株が安い。アステラスやトヨタが下落した。新型ゲーム機を発表した任天堂、業績下振れを発表した旭ダイヤが大幅安となった。一方、前日に決算を発表した安川電は売買を伴い上昇し、年初来高値をつけた。ＯＬＣやオークマも上げた。ＪＡＬなど空運株がしっかり。

東証２部株価指数は反落した。シャープや安川情報が下げた。一方、川上塗が上げ、フライトＨＤは値幅制限の上限（ストップ高水準）で取引を終えた。

21日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は７営業日ぶりに反落した。終値は前日比３円36銭（0.13％）安い2580円94銭だった。前場は材料の出た中小型株や直近の新規株式公開（ＩＰＯ）銘柄が堅調に推移した。14時過ぎに鳥取県中部で震度６弱の地震が発生したと伝わると、週末という条件も重なり利益確定売りが増えた。ミクシィなどの時価総額の大きい銘柄は大引けにかけて伸び悩んだ。

ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で352億円、売買高は8627万株だった。アサカ理研やシライ電子、マクドナルドが下落した。ユビテックやテリロジー、アエリアは上昇した。

東証マザーズ指数は続落した。終値は前日比2.48ポイント（0.26％）安い953.33だった。ブランジスタやサイバダイン、モバファクが下げた。半面、メタップスやそーせいが上げた。地震発生直後に地盤ネットは急伸した。

きょう東証マザーズ市場に新規上場したユーザベースは９時29分に公募・売り出し価格（公開価格、2510円）を398円（15.9％）上回る2908円で初値を付けた。初値後も堅調な値動きが目立ち、制限値幅の上限（ストップ高水準）である3410円で初日の取引を終えた。初値からは17.2％上昇した。
