31日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は反落した。前週末比21円39銭（0.12％）安の１万7425円02銭で終えた。外国為替市場で円相場が１ドル＝104円台後半と前週末に比べてやや円高・ドル安に振れ、利益確定売りを促した。産油国の減産協調に時間がかかるとの見方による、原油相場の下落も重荷となった。ファストリやソフトバンクといった値がさ株のほか、国際石開帝石などの資源関連株への売りが目立った。

前週末に米大統領選の民主党候補ヒラリー・クリントン氏の私用メール問題を巡って米連邦捜査局（ＦＢＩ）が捜査を再開したと伝わった。

前場は下げ幅を100円超に拡大する場面もあったが、後場は徐々に下げ渋った。前週までの上昇基調で投資心理は上向いており、押し目買い意欲は強かった。

ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は小幅に続伸した。終値は前週末比8.88ポイント（0.07％）高い１万2487.46だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も小幅に続伸し、0.61ポイント（0.04％）高の1393.02で終えた。

東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆3298億円。売買高は22億4263万株だった。東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は981と、全体の49.4％を占めた。値上がりは866、変わらずは138銘柄だった。

2017年３月期の業績見通しを下方修正した三菱重が後場に急落した。アルプスやＪＲ西日本、ブリヂストンが安い。エーザイや大阪チタも下落した。一方、コンテナ船の事業統合を発表した海運３社は急伸したが、川崎汽は年初来高値を付けた後に一時下げに転じるなど伸び悩んだ。17年３月期の上方修正を発表した東エレクも終日大幅高となった。日立や東芝も高い。

東証２部株価指数は３日続伸した。シャープとアートＳＨＤが上げ、フライトＨＤと安川情報が下げた。

31日の新興企業向け株式市場で日経ジャスダック平均株価は続伸した。終値は前週末比４円72銭（0.18％）高の2608円81銭だった。１月６日（2621円10銭）以来、ほぼ10カ月ぶりの高値で終了した。好業績銘柄中心に物色されたものの、高値警戒感から戻り待ちの売りも出て上値は限られた。

ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で466億円、売買高は9436万株だった。ＦＶＣやジェイテック、倉元が上昇した。半面、平田機工やアイサンテク、極楽湯は下落した。

東証マザーズ指数は小幅に反発した。終値は前週末比0.55ポイント（0.06％）高い936.23だった。ミクシィやエナリス、ブランジスタが上昇した。そーせいやメタップス、串カツ田中は下落した。
