16日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は反発した。前日比194円06銭（1.10％）高の１万7862円21銭で取引を終え、２月１日（１万7865円23銭）以来およそ９カ月半ぶりの高値を付けた。外国為替市場で円相場が５カ月半ぶりに１ドル＝109円台に下落。輸出企業の収益改善期待が高まり、主力の輸出関連株に買いが入って指数を押し上げた。

原油価格の上昇を背景に前日の欧米株式相場が堅調に推移したことも投資家心理を強気に傾けた。株式市場では「ヘッジファンドに加え、中長期の海外勢の資金が流入している」（国内証券トレーダー）との声が聞かれた。ドナルド・トランプ米次期大統領の下で恩恵を受けるとされる銘柄群に引き続き物色の矛先が向かった。長期金利の指標となる新発10年物国債利回りが午後に８カ月ぶりの高水準を付けると、金融株の一角が上げ幅を広げた。もっとも、上値では当面の利益を確定する目的の売りが増え、日経平均の日中値幅は78円97銭にとどまった。

ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は５日続伸。終値は前日比162.88ポイント（1.29％）高の１万2777.92だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も５日続伸し、18.67ポイント（1.33％）高の1421.65で終えた。

東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆8561億円。売買高は27億2666万株だった。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は1585と、全体の79.8％を占めた。値下がりは314、変わらずは86銘柄だった。

三井住友トラやみずほＦＧ、三菱ＵＦＪが大幅高となった。第一生命ＨＤとＭＳ＆ＡＤの上昇も目立った。マツダや富士重の上げも大きかった。国際石開帝石や三菱ケミＨＤも高かった。一方、住友不や菱地所の下落が目立った。ＳＭＣや三菱重も安い。ユニチャームや三井物も下げた。

東証２部株価指数は３日続伸した。フライトＨＤと象印が上げ、アートＳＨＤとラオックスは下げた。

16日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は３日続伸した。終値は前日比10円87銭（0.42％）高い2595円95銭だった。円相場が１ドル＝109円台まで下落したのを手掛かりに日経平均株価が上昇し、投資家心理が一段と改善。新興企業向けの株式市場でも個人などによる買いが優勢となった。もっとも新興市場は円安の恩恵を受けにくい内需関連の企業が多く、相対的に上値は重かった。好材料が出た銘柄には積極的な買いが入る一方、上値での利益確定売りも目立った。

ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で514億円、売買高は9189万株だった。ピクセルやベクター、ヒロセ通商が上昇した。半面、ＦＶＣが朝高後下げに転じ、アスコット、マルマンが下落した。

東証マザーズ指数は３日続伸した。終値は前日比20.94ポイント（2.36％）高い907.15だった。イグニスやメタップス、モブキャスが上昇し、モルフォが急伸。一方でそーせいやブランジスタ、アカツキは下落した。
