　しんきんアセットマネジメント投信の藤原直樹運用部長は「投資家が先行きを依然として慎重にみている」と指摘する。中国株式相場の下落に歯止めが掛かり、投資家心理がやや改善。空売りが積み上がっていた日本株にも一時は買い戻しが入ったが、「連休に入ることもあり午後には手じまい売りが優勢となった」（同）という。

　東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）は５日続落し、前日比10.62ポイント（0.73％）安の1447.32で終えた。ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400も５日続落。92.19ポイント（0.70％）安の１万3029.77で引けた。

　東証１部の売買代金は概算で３兆2017億円。株価指数オプション１月物の特別清算指数（ＳＱ）算出に伴う取引で、昨年12月18日以来、３週間ぶりの水準に膨らんだ。売買高は25億9124万株だった。東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は全体の75％にあたる1466。値上がり377、変わらずは92銘柄だった。
