21日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は反発し、前日比128円33銭（0.77％）高の１万6810円22銭で終えた。前日の欧米株の上昇を受け投資家心理が改善した。企業業績の重荷となる円高が一服し、輸出関連株に買いが入った。政府の経済対策が20兆円規模になると一部で伝わり、インフラ関連の建設株なども上げた。後場は上昇ピッチの速さを警戒した個人投資家の売りが増え上げ幅を縮めた。

一方で日経平均の１万7000円近辺は今年に入ってからの累積売買高が多く戻り待ちの売りが出やすいことから、「今後は上値が重くなる」との見方もあった。

スマートフォン向けゲーム「ポケモンＧＯ」の海外での人気を背景に連日大商いの任天堂は反発したが、売買代金は個別銘柄としての過去最高を連日で更新した20日（7323億円）には及ばず5182億円と５営業日ぶりに減少した。

きょう東証マザーズ市場に新規上場したインソース（6200）は、10時46分に公開価格（520円）を56％上回る810円で初値を付けた。午後は売りに押される展開となり、終値は初値を15％下回る692円だった。

同じくジャスダック市場に新規上場したデュアルＴ（3469）は、13時59分に公開価格（1110円）の2.3倍となる2520円で初値を付けた。その後は利益確定売りが進み、終値は初値比で制限値幅の下限（ストップ安水準）となる2020円だった。
