５日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は３日続伸した。前日比83円59銭（0.50％）高の１万6819円24銭で終えた。３日続伸は７月19日までの６日続伸以来、２カ月半ぶりの連続上昇だった。欧米で長期金利が上昇し日本との金利差拡大から外国為替市場で円相場が下落した。このため輸出企業の採算改善の期待から主力株に買いが入った。

米リッチモンド連銀のラッカー総裁が４日の講演で早期の利上げ再開をすべきだとの考えを改めて示し、米国の利上げ観測が強まった。同氏は2017年の利上げについて「２回というのは緩やかすぎる」とも発言した。

一部報道により欧州中央銀行（ＥＣＢ）が量的緩和を縮小するとの見方も広がり、４日は欧米ともに長期金利が上昇した。相対的な投資妙味が薄れ４日の米ダウ工業株30種平均は続落したものの、東京株式市場では円安基調を好感した買いが優勢だった。

ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400も３日続伸した。終値は前日比66.17ポイント（0.55％）高の１万2061.49だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も３日続伸し、7.60ポイント（0.57％）高の1347.81で終えた。

東証１部の売買代金は概算で１兆8878億円、売買高は17億2075万株だった。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は1197と全体の60％を占めた。値下がりは643、変わらずは140銘柄だった。

トヨタやマツダが上昇した。三菱ＵＦＪや第一生命ＨＤが上げた。提携が伝わったヤマハ発とホンダも買われた。グループの再編が伝わった日立と日立工、日立国際はそろって上昇した。

一方、ＮＴＴやＫＤＤＩが下落した。花王や住友鉱が下げた。東電ＨＤが売られた。2016年４～９月期の連結営業利益が従来予想を下回ると伝わった東レが下げた。

東証２部株価指数は反発した。安川情報やシャープが上げた。半面、朝日インテクやアートＳＨＤが下げた。

５日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は小幅に３日続伸した。終値は前日比５円57銭（0.22％）高い2532円05銭だった。外国為替市場で円相場が１ドル＝102円台後半まで下落したことで東証１部の主力株が総じて堅調に推移し、投資家心理の改善を映した買いが新興市場にも波及した。半面、コスモバイオなど日本人のノーベル賞受賞決定に関連して前日に買われた銘柄は利益確定売りに押され、午後は一段安となった。

ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で357億円、売買高は7953万株だった。ベクターやＵＬＳグルプ、シライ電子が上昇した。半面、コスモバイオが売買を伴って急落。テックファム、極楽湯も下落した。

東証マザーズ指数は３日続伸した。終値は前日比4.42ポイント（0.46％）高い960.44だった。ブランジスタやシルバエッグ、チェンジが買われた。串カツ田中は制限値幅の上限（ストップ高）まで上昇した。一方でそーせいやフロンテオ、ストリームは下落した。
