中国国家統計局が発表した９月の消費者物価指数（ＣＰＩ）は前年同月比1.9％上昇し、３カ月ぶりの高水準だった。中国では前日13日に９月の米ドルベースの輸出減少が発表され、前日の米株式相場の下落を促した面があり、中国ＣＰＩの上昇は同国経済に対する過度な警戒感の後退につながった。ＣＰＩの発表直後、日経平均はやや強含む場面があった。

タイのプミポン国王が13日に死去したが、タイの金融市場の混乱などはみられなかった。タイの主要株価指数であるタイ総合指数も堅調に推移し、日本株への影響は限られた。

13日に2017年８月期の連結純利益が前期比2.1倍となる見通しを発表したファストリが大幅に上昇した。大型の投資ファンド設立を発表したソフトバンクが売買を伴って上昇し、両銘柄で日経平均を約88円押し上げた。ＮＴＴやＫＤＤＩ、国際石開帝石が買われた。

半面、東エレクやスクリンの下げが目立つ。武田や塩野義、信越化、ディーエヌエが売られた。

東証マザーズ指数は５日続落した。終値は前日比0.62ポイント（0.07％）安い937.60だった。ブランジスタやそーせい、ストリームが下落した。メタップスや串カツ田中、リファインＶが上昇した。
